These pictures
are of the installation of the GMMG Chambered Exhaust on my 2000 SS.
Many thanks to my good friend Jeff Creps for the great polishing job he did on the exhaust and tips,
and for helping me with the installation.

The Chambered Exhaust is a great system with awesome sound. It is quality built of 304
stainless and it fits perfectly. This picture shows the exhaust system before installation.
The rear section has been polished as have the SLP dual/dual tips. Sorry the pic quality
isn't better.

I didn't want to cut my original system to remove it so I removed
part of the rear suspension instead. The right side lower control arm,
shock, spring, panhard rod, and cross brace have been removed. The
original exhaust was then removed by taking off the band clamp at the
y-pipe and unfastening the rear hangers.

Another view of the dismantled SS. The cardboard makes the concrete
softer. The box was a third pair of hands to help hold the old system up
while we wiggled it loose from the y-pipe.

I already mentioned removing the right rear shock. Well, this is
what's involved in removing the top connection of the shock in a
convertible. The top of the shocks are in the pockets in the
cross-member behind the rear seat back. Convertibles have one-piece
carpeting. You coupe and T-top guys wouldn't have it nearly as
bad because your rear shelf carpet is a seperate piece.
